Welcome to my blog!  My name is Maggie,  I am a thirty-something living in the heart of Iowa, but will always be a Minnesota girl to the core (ya betcha!).  I grew up and went to school in Minneapolis, and even had my first REAL job there, but left in 2008, when I, along with my dog, Buckles, followed a handsome man from the frozen tundra of MN to the cornfields of IA.  

In March, 2010, my handsome man (Jake), got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.  I glowingly said, "yes".   Now, nothing sets a "crafter" into overdrive more than wedding planning, particularly when it's on a very modest budget.  In an attempt to save some money and put my our mark on our wedding day, I started to think of any and every DIY craft that I could think of, and spent the next 15 months putting plans into actions.  On June 25, 2011, Jake and I were married in a simple, yet beautiful ceremony where all of my projects came to fruition better than I could have ever asked for.  You can read more about our wedding HERE.  We bought our first home in March of 2013 and welcomed our first child, Ethan, on March of  2015.  

While I take on the title of teacher during the day, many of my evenings consist of crafting.  As part of my 2012 New Year's resolution, I decided to start a blog to chronicle my various craft attempts projects.  I enjoy all sorts of different crafty mediums including baking, cross-stitching, and paper crafts.  More recently, I've enjoyed working on DIY projects for our home. Aside from crafting, I love to bake, which I started at an early age through the coaching of my grandma and dad, but didn't start dabbling in other craft arenas until my high school years.
